House of Tin is a South African wholesaler of galvanised and powder-coated metal products — buckets, baths, billy cans, and shelving. We work side by side with our manufacturing partner Border Metal Industries, a metal fabrication facility in Butterworth, Eastern Cape, that has been producing metal goods for over 50 years.

The factory started out making traditional tinplate products and metal roofing components — ridgings and flashings. Over time the operation expanded into the promotional, agricultural, and wholesale product lines we sell today. While most local metal manufacturers have closed down or moved offshore, Border Metal Industries still runs from the same Eastern Cape facility, employing local fabricators and shipping product domestically and internationally.

House of Tin exists to connect that factory to the businesses, farms, and brands that need what it makes.

How are the goods packaged for transport?

All our products are packed securely in boxes to ensure they are not damaged during transport. For shipping we are able to also cost on wooden boxing.

Do you offer pricing for export?

Yes we do. We are able to offer FOB as well as CIF pricing to your premises world wide.

Are you able to make custom products?

Yes we can. Our team of metal fabricators are able to create products based on any design. Email us your design and we'll see if it can be done.

Are there minimum order quantities?

Yes. Each product varies in boxed quantity, so minimum order quantities will vary per product.

For samples, please send us an email and we can arrange a once off unit price for sample purposes.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Send us your Pantone or RAL reference and we'll match it on a powder-coated finish.

What branding is available?

We offer branding on our buckets and baths. Our branding is a multi-coloured vinyl sticker that can either be added in factory, or sent separately to add as needed. Branding is subject to design and availability.
